Hike users to get Hindi news feed

first_imgMumbai, Sep 28 (PTI) Home grown chat application Hike messenger — headed by Kavin Mittal, son of Bharti Enterprises chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal — today said Hindi news will be available to its users within the the instant messaging platform on their smartphones. The Hindi News will have content available in bite size feeds across sports, entertainment, politics, technology and many more categories, the company said in a statement. The launch of Hindi News comes on the back of the launch of the English News platform in August, which already has over 1.5 million daily users viewing 100 million stories per week. “We have carefully studied content consumption patterns of our user base and hike being an Indian app, we are happy that now our users can read news in Hindi. “Users can switch between Hindi and English news by tapping a button. We believe this is a step forward as we embark on our journey to bring India online in a locally relevant way,” Hike Messenger Founder and Chief Executive Officer Kavin Bharti Mittal said. Hero MotoCorp unveils first in-house bike Splendor iSmart 110

first_imgGreater Noida, Feb 3 (PTI) Worlds largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp today unveiled its first in-house developed motorcycle, Splendor iSmart 110, at the 13th Auto Expo here.The firm also unveiled three other vehicles — premium segment sports bike Xtreme 200 S, design concept bike XF3R and an electric scooter concept Duet-E.Splendor iSmart 110 is the companys first completely in-house developed motorcycle, since separating from erstwhile partner Honda.Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor was also present during the unveiling.Last year, the company had launched two scooters, Maestro Edge and Duet, which were one of the first products to have been developed by Hero on new platforms through its in-house technology.”After achieving a significant milestone in our solo journey last year with the successful launch of the first of our in-house developed scooters, we are now setting sights on developing smarter products for a global audience,” Hero MotoCorp CMD Pawan Munjal.The company said the four products unveiled at the expo today have been developed keeping in mind both the domestic and global markets.Splendor iSmart 110 is powered by an air cooled, single cylinder four stroke 110cc engine. The engine is mated to a four speed gear-box.Showcasing a directional guidance on future products in the super-premium category, Hero MotoCrop has unveiled the Xtreme 200 S.It comes packed with enhanced performance and assured riding capabilities with rear mono suspension and safety features such as ABS. Its is powered by an air cooled single cylinder, four stroke 200cc engine and has a 5-speed gear-box.advertisementThe XF3R provides a glimpse into the future of Heros design and development for performance sports bikes beyond 250cc.Besides, the electric scooter concept, Duet-E, is aimed at providing comfortable, convenient and environment friendly commuting option.
