Sumner Newscow report — As a reminder, the Wellington City Council recently passed an amendment to refuse collection procedures in residential areas.  Beginning July 1, it is required that all trash is bagged if placed inside containers that are larger than 45 gallons (with the exception of those that were previously purchased from the City of Wellington). The City is not asking or requiring anyone to purchase a new container because of this amendment, simply place your trash in bags if you have a large container. Loose trash placed in large containers will no longer be collected. For more information, please contact the Wellington Public Works Department at 620-326-7831.Follow us on Facebook.Follow us on Twitter.last_img read more
