Gary Brough, Managing Director of KPMG in TCI stated: “On Wednesday and Thursday of this week we had two excellent town hall meetings in Grand Turk and South Caicos, respectively, and we would like to express our gratitude once again to everyone who participated in these events.We are very much looking forward to our forthcoming meetings in North and Middle Caicos on Thursday, 30 October, Salt Cay on Friday, 31 October and Providenciales on November 3, 2014.”Guests to the country are apart of the survey too; for the past two weeks visitors have been filling in the questionnaire at the Provo International Airport. The city council unanimously approved an agreement for animal control services in the city. The contract diverts $1.8 million from a shelter related fund for start-up costs and nearly $11 million dollars from the city’s general fund for ongoing costs. The 18 month contract will go into effect July 1st. Samsung to Invest ₹500 Core in India to Ramp Up Mobile Production

first_imgSouth Korean tech giant Samsung is reportedly looking to invest ₹500 crore in India to increase mobile production in the country.Press Trust of India citing industry sources said the company is also to make use of the Indian government policy in this regard. The proposal for the aforementioned capital investment have been cleared by the Department of Electronics and IT (DEITY).”Samsung is working to invest Rs 500 crore in its mobile production facility in India. It had approached government in this regard to take benefit of policy announcements and other incentives. The investment proposals have been cleared at Department of Electronics and IT (DEITY) level,” a source told to PTI.The report also quoted the spokesperson of India as saying that the company is planning to increase its presence in the market.”We are looking at strengthening our manufacturing presence in the country, to fulfil our growing needs in the market. However we are not able to provide further details at this stage,” said Samsung India spokesperson.Samsung, the current market leader in the smartphone market, seems to be looking at the expansion of its production capacities in the country. Currently, the Noida facility is involved in the production of 35-40 million phones annually. Samsung Galaxy S3 is also being produced at the Noida factory. Although there were reports that Galaxy S4 will also come in an Indian-made version, not much has been said about it.According to a report from research firm IDC, 32.7 percent of the total shipment in January-March 2013 period has been shipped by Samsung.last_img read more

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s wedding was the kind was snagged out of a cute fairytale. Although they got married in Las Vegas right after the Billboard Music Awards back in May in a surprise move, they did plan a lovely French rendezvous.Over the weekend, the couple tied the knot for the second time and officially signed as Mr and Mrs Jonas. Sophie Turner took to her Instagram to share pictures from her wedding and needless to say, they both looked dreamy! The pictures were shared with a black and white filter but Sophie and Joe both looked super happy as they walked out amid the throng of guests who attended their wedding. Sophie looked absolutely breathtaking in a pristine white gown that was designed by Nicolas Ghesquière, the Artistic Director of Women’s Collections at Louis Vuitton.
